Rogawica [r¿¿ävit¿¿sa] (German Roggatz, previously also called Rogatsch) is a village in the administrative district of Gmina S¿upsk, within S¿upsk County, Pomeranian Voivodeship, in northern Poland. It lies approximately 11 kilometres (7 mi) north-east of S¿upsk and 97 km (60 mi) west of the regional capital Gdäsk. Before 1945 the area was part of Germany. For the history of the region, see History of Pomerania. The village has a population of 262. The history of Pomerania dates back more than 10,000 years. Settlement in the area started by the end of the Vistula Glacial Stage, about 13,000 years ago.
