Neither faddish or folksy, this book blends the best qualities of traditional hymnody with contemporary style. Each hymn explores a biblical text from the new ecumenical lectionary in words and music meant to draw the congregation closer to its meaning also by embracing a wide range of Christian faith and pastoral need. The texts are written in traditional meters with easy unison melodies. Metrical and Scriptural indexes are also provided.
